Charlie Choy's & Lotus Lounge Bar VIP launch night
Charlie Choys Pan Asian Buffet and Lotus Lounge Wine Bar at Centrium, Woking held its official VIP launch night with a sparkling Champagne Reception on 6th May. There were over 200 guests in attendance including The Mayor and Mayoress of Woking, Cllr Bryan Cross and Mrs Helen Cross, BBC Southern Counties Radio, press, invited guests and family.
The VIP launch event included free food from across 4 regions: India, Thailand, China and Europe. Guests tucked into delights including sushi rolls, freshly made pizzas and naan breads, Thai green curry and Chinese noodle stir-fries, with plenty of Champagne. Mr Magic brought a touch of fun to the evening and there was live singing upstairs. The ribbon cutting ceremony was by the Mayor of Woking, Cllr Bryan Cross, who said he welcolmed Charlie Choys to Woking and that he was sure that residents of Woking will enjoy this new restaurant and bar and he wished the business a very successful future in the Town.
Rico Ahmed (partner) said: "The launch was a great success. The Charlie Choys team worked extremely hard preparing for the event and with so many guests in attendance - there was a great atmosphere.
Carmen Easterby, event co-ordinator added: "There have been many obstacles along the way, but we have made it! Thanks to our suppliers, the local business community and our guests for their support and our special guest Mr Mayor for his presence"
The restaurant received rave reviews from Tandoori magazine and Spice Times magazine.
Charlie Choys plan to hold many more events over the Summer in our alfresco area, so keep a look-out!
